A House of Representatives Standing Committee will inquire into and report on homelessness in Australia.
The House of Representatives Standing Committee on Social Policy and Legal Affairs has launched an inquiry into homelessness in Australia. It will seek to understand the factors that contribute to people becoming homeless. It has a wide-ranging Terms of Reference.
The WAAEH (Alliance) and Shelter WA will be preparing a joint submission for the inquiry. The timeframe is short with submissions due on Thursday 9 April 2020.
To inform the submission a Pulse Meeting will be held on Tuesday 17 March at 9:00am.

VOICE OF LIVED EXPERIENCE
It is critical that the voice of lived experience of homelessness and housing insecurity inform our submission. An expression of interest for a person with lived experience of homelessness to undertake a short-term contract has been advertised.
This work involves conducting eight interviews with people of lived experience of homelessness and preparing a report for incorporation into our submission.
